Start with a conversation

We believe clarity starts with listening. Whether you’re a family member, case manager, or provider, we’ll meet you where you are and help you think through next steps.

What we’ll ask (quick + simple):

  • Who you’re reaching out about
  • What kind of help you’re looking for right now
  • Any timing needs (urgent, soon, exploring)

What you don’t need to have ready:

  • A perfectly complete packet of documents
  • All the “right words” to describe the situation
  • A firm decision (this can be an exploratory call)

Good to know:

  • If Rockhill isn’t the best fit, we’ll still help point you toward resources.

Understanding needs & determining next steps

We believe people deserve thoughtful placement, not rushed decisions. This step helps us understand the situation and guide a clear path forward.

What we cover together:

  • Current living situation and what’s working / not working
  • Safety, routine, and day-to-day needs
  • Any recent transitions (hospital stay, program discharge, crisis)

What may be helpful (when available):

  • Basic medical/psychiatric history or a recent discharge summary
  • Current medication list
  • Funding/benefits context (if known)

What you’ll get from this step:

  • A clearer sense of options
  • A realistic timeline
  • Guidance on what to gather next (if anything)

Visit the campus & ask anything

We believe peace of mind comes from seeing the environment and meeting the people. A tour helps you picture daily life and get real answers.

What you’ll see:

  • Common spaces and the campus environment
  • What a typical room feels like
  • The rhythm of daily life (as available)

What we’ll talk about:

  • What day-to-day living looks like here
  • How we communicate with families/partners
  • Transition planning and expectations

Helpful questions to bring:

  • “What does a good day look like here?”
  • “How do you handle moments when someone is struggling?”
  • “Who do we contact, and how quickly do you respond?”

Support that continues after move-in

We believe care is community, built through consistency, communication, and shared goals. We don’t disappear after placement.

How partnership works:

  • Clear points of contact (who to call, when)
  • Ongoing communication aligned to your level of involvement
  • Shared expectations that keep things steady

What families often appreciate:

  • Less uncertainty and fewer “unknowns”
  • Confidence that their loved one is known and supported
  • A steady routine that reduces disruption

What referral partners appreciate:

  • Follow-through and coordination
  • Clear updates when needed
  • A team that stays engaged
